How A Video Can Boost Your Business’ Sales & Increase Profits
Posted on: Monday, September 7th, 2015
We all know it’s a visual age that we are living in. Due to declining literacy levels, increased demands for speed, and other reasons, the attention span of the average individual is much shorter than it once was. What this means for marketing purposes, is that you have only a fraction of time to communicate an exact message to then elicit your desired response.
Internet users by survey prefer visual data rather than text. Therefore one of the best ways to attract attention, communicate a powerful message, and get a response, is to use video.
A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words
People remember symbols and shapes more easily than words.
By leveraging video in your marketing strategies, you will be able to reach a wider public and ensure that your target audience is communicated to in a way that will have the most reach.
Results From Video
We worked with Galaxy Marketing Solutions, a dental marketing firm, to create a promotional video for their marketing services. Rick Garcia, their Senior Marketing Consultant, commented on the success of using the video as part of their sales technique.
Gravity Media created an incredible video for us to use in our sales department to help enlighten possible clients on our services. The video was professional and covered exactly what we needed, in an easy to understand way. The video has increased our sales by at least 50% and I wouldn’t think about doing a presentation without it.
I would highly recommend Gravity Media as they are truly able to capture what you need and want and portray it in a professional and effective manner.
Benefits of Video Promotion & Marketing
Videos can be used across many social media websites, including Youtube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. They can be embeded into blogs, emails, or directly passed on via text message or word of mouth. In short, you can benefit from a greater number of promotional media than if you were to just write out an ad, or promote in a local newspaper.
What’s more, it gives you a chance to show your company logo or brand, and imprint it into the viewer’s mind. That will ensure that people will recognize you in the future when they come across you again.
Making The Perfect Promotional Video
When making a promotional video, there are a few guidelines that should always be followed to ensure the best results. After all, the entire purpose of the video should be to get a specific response from the viewer after having communicated your message. Below, we detail what it takes to produce that.
1. Decide on what the end goal of the video will be.
This may be something as simple as “get people to visit our website,” or “getting more subscriptions to our blog”, or “getting more online orders”.
Knowing what your video should elicit as a response will help to tailor a message that will produce the desired result.
2. Decide on a clear, concise message.
Make sure your video communicates this message and stays on topic. It is very important that a promotional video does not extend beyond 2 to 2 1/4 minutes in length. Anything beyond this will become boring and you will risk losing the interest of your viewer.
3. Have a professional script written by a copywriter.
It is very important that your message is communicated with succint, powerful verbiage that captures the user. Ensuring that your copy is written by a professional will help to “seal the deal” with your viewer.
4. If your video includes narration, hire a voiceover artist to record your script.
Having a professional voiceover artist record your script in a studio is simply the best option. Otherwise, your video ends up sounding like a cheap “Powerpoint” presentation that you recorded in your bedroom. People do not realize that a beautiful video with horrible sound will not result in anything beneficial. It will turn the user off, yet he will not be able to pinpoint what is bothering him.
5. Use custom animation to make your message pop.
A good graphic artist and animator can create some eye-catching imagery which will help make a very convincing video for your user. Do not settle for low-level entry work; get the job done right. Any animator should be very proficient in Adobe® After Effects.
6. Ensure your video contains your business’ contact information.
Not including your website address or phone number can be a costly mistake. Always make sure your contact information is provided, after your message has been clearly communicated. Never put it before, or else you risk distracting your viewer from your message.
Here is a video we recently produced for a client in Florida. You will notice all of the above elements have been incorporated into the video.
